Proteins produced and purified at DIARECT have been used in numerous applications. Purification protocols are tailored to the requirements of each application. For example, proteins that are isolated for structural analysis are generally subjected to size exclusion chromatography in order to remove aggregates that may interfere in crystallization. Buffers are carefully chosen so that they are neutral in the desired application (coupling reactions etc.).
