Taking place this week, DIARECT representatives are going to attend the following meetings:

7. Jahrestagung der DGKL – September 29 – October 2, 2010, Mannheim:

Organized by the „Deutsche Vereinte Gesellschaft für Klinische Chemie und Laboratoriumsmedizin” (DGKL, German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory medicine), this meeting is attended by laboratory medics, clinical chemists, and scientists from related fields. About 1000 congress attendends are expected to visit the congress, which is held under the main topic “Biomarker – Schlüssel zu Prävention und Früherkennung” (Biomarker – Key to Prevention and Early Diagnosis). DIARECT will pay special attention to a symposium on allergy and autoimmune diagnostics.

A second meeting, “The 4th International Congress on Autoimmunity”, which will be held in Brussels on September 30, 2010, will also be attended by a DIARECT representative. This meeting focuses on quality control and standardization in autoimmune testing. Topics of the program include value added reporting in autoimmune serology, current practices in ANA testing, and quality control in autoimmune diagnostics.
