BCIP/NBT Blue One Component AP Membrane Substrate contains 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolylphosphate and nitroblue tetrazolium. The substrate is a ready to use solution. Unreacted substrate should be colorless to light yellow in appearance. When this substrate system is reacted with phosphatase, an insoluble permanent dark blue reaction product is obtained. This substrate product is not recommended for microwell or immunohistochemical applications.
